Virtual human and AI technology company Viking Lab announced on November 28 the release of "Raipai: Queen of Verdigris," a short-form animated series reimagining "Raipai," Korea's first science fiction superhero created in 1959, using cutting-edge generative AI technology.

The project was produced as part of the 2025 AI Content Production Support Program organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). It was carried out through a consortium led by GRAE, the project's principal organization.

For the production, Viking Lab implemented its proprietary AX-VP (AI Transformation Virtual Production) technology. This next-generation production pipeline applies generative AI across the entire content creation process—from screenplay development and character design to 3D background generation and final video production.

Leveraging the latest AI technologies, including Text-to-Image (T2I) and Image-to-Video (I2V) models, the company transformed the original 1950s artwork into a modern visual style while significantly improving production efficiency through AI-driven automation.

"This project represents a compelling example of AI transformation, where classic intellectual property meets next-generation technology."

"Raipai: Queen of Verdigris" is scheduled for release on global streaming platforms in December.
